Play Synopsis: 

What happens when a family gets together to celebrate, old grievances refuse to stay buried, and an unexpected guest turns everything upside down? Welcome to Reunion — a sharp, funny and compelling Irish drama where family ties are tested, secrets emerge, and absolutely nothing stays quiet for long!

Set in a family holiday home on a remote island off Ireland’s west coast, Reunion brings together a colourful cast of characters for a gathering that quickly becomes anything but peaceful. As sibling rivalries, fractured relationships, and long-held resentments come to the surface, laughter and tension go hand in hand in this wonderfully unpredictable exploration of family life. Beneath the arguments and biting humour lie questions of love, loneliness, loyalty and the complicated bonds that keep families together.

Written by acclaimed Irish playwright Mark O’Rowe, whose celebrated works include Howie the Rookie and The Approach. He is also known for his screenplay for the film, Intermission. Reunion premiered at the 2024 Galway International Arts Festival before enjoying a sold-out run in Dublin and a critically acclaimed London production.
